Wood is a natural material, characterized by color and grain differences that make the elements different from each other. As a result of exposure to air and light, the wood, over time, tends to change its surface coloring.
In Oak species, some elements may have shiny streaks called “blazes.” In some wood species, like Doussie, Iroko, Wenge, mineral concretions can be present with varying colors from whitish to lemon yellow depending on the chemical nature of the concretion itself.
These features, attributable to the natural variability of the wood, can also be transferred to surface treatments in terms of different absorption of the finish / color. For all these reasons, therefore, the correspondence between the supply and the reference sample is to be considered purely indicative.
The different treatments can give to the timbers special aesthetic characteristics, which enhance the natural appearance and make them suitable for different spaces and styles. Before purchasing, it is essential to evaluate all solutions in order to choose the model that will best meet your tastes and expectations.

Treatment carried out with the use of UV varnish, which makes the surface particularly resistant and easy to maintain. The varnish finish creates a protective film on the wood that lasts over time. A painted parquet does not require maintenance.
The oil finish brings out the natural characteristics of the wood, ensuring good surface protection. In fact, this finish protects the wood by filling the pores. However, every 6-8 months the oil is completely absorbed, and it is necessary to repeat the operation. This oiled parquet gets a darker color than the one painted, but it has a more natural and textured feeling.
